Whitewater Rafting
Running trips on two of the world’s largest commercially rafted rivers means that we’re able to offer two different styles of whitewater rafting. Our separate paddle rafting and motorized rafting trips allow us to accommodate groups of many ages, skill levels, and abilities. We might be a bit biased, but rafting is one of the best and most popular team building activities so we recommend setting aside at least one day for time on the river!
- Power Rafting: sit back and hang on while your guide drives a motorized raft through the rapids. Rafts hold 16 to 20 people, great for keeping big teams together and for guests who’d rather ride than paddle.
- Paddle Rafting: your team paddles together with a guide calling the strokes. Rafts hold 8 to 11 people, the ultimate team building challenge.
Both options raft the same route, so your group can mix and match and still go down the river together.

Resort
In addition to unforgettable rafting, Kumsheen offers an outstanding venue for your staff team and all group sizes. Perched on a 15-acre flat above the Thompson River, our Resort offers comfort and character. Whether you decide to sleep in one of our furnished Canvas Cabins or pitch a tent under the stars, taste delicious cuisine in our Cutting Board Restaurant or roast some hot dogs on the BBQ, we know you’ll enjoy the many options we have to offer.

Restaurant, Meals & Catering
Good food is part of every great group trip. Start your day with a family-style breakfast in our Cutting Board Restaurant, enjoy a riverside lunch on the Legendary Thompson or Devil’s Gorge Run and finish with a family-style dinner in the sunroom or out on the patio.
- Poolside Bar: open evenings for drinks, with snacks on request. Perfect for a team welcome or an end-of-day gathering.
- Coffee Bar Tab: set up a group tab to keep everyone fueled throughout their stay.
- Custom Group Meals: we’ll plan meals with your group organizer. Our team can help with meal times, menu types and different special offerings.
- Dietary Needs: our chef can accommodate dietary restrictions, so just let us know when you book!

Settle into your cabin or teepee, enjoy a family-style dinner, and take in the stunning starry skies and White Canyon views.

Start the day with breakfast at the Cutting Board Restaurant before heading out to raft the Thompson River (lunch included). Then return home by evening after an unforgettable adventure.
The Weekender
2 nights
Day 1
Arrive at Kumsheen and settle into your cabin before enjoying a delicious family-style dinner at the Cutting Board Restaurant.
Day 2
Fuel up with breakfast before heading out to raft the Legendary Thompson River. After a day on the water, unwind with live music and drinks at the gazebo. (Live music every Saturday during July and August.)
Day 3
Enjoy breakfast before another day of river adventures and resort activities, then head home refreshed and full of memories.

- How big a group can you take?
We regularly host large groups, from 8 guests to 120+. Our power rafts hold 16 to 20 people and paddle rafts hold 8 to 11, so we can fit groups of any size and create the perfect mix of activities for everyone. - Do you offer group rates?
Yes. Groups of 10+ save 10% on rafting. For larger groups, please inquire with our office for discounts and a custom quote. - What if our group wants different forms of accommodation?
Thats okay! Guests can book cabins, teepees and campsites as needed and our reservations team will group you together. If your group is booking separately, please let us know your group information while booking. - Can you provide meals for our group?
Yes. Full day trips include a riverside lunch, and our restaurant can host group meals for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We can also cater different meals to fit your groups needs throughout your stay. For Example: Some groups decide to run a tab in our coffee bar for their team. - What if some of our team don’t want to raft?
Thats what is perfect about Kumsheen! There is something for everyone, guests are welcome to enjoy the pool and hot tub, take part in resort games or relax in our air-conditioned office. Please contact our office about options for adding non-rafters to your lunch on the rafting date. - How far ahead should we book?
We recommend booking large groups as soon as you have dates confirmed, especially for July and August weekends.
