Getting here

Here’s what Rick Mercer had to say about getting to Kumsheen:

  • The 3-hour drive NE from Vancouver to Lytton BC is rife with danger because it’s so gobsmackingly beautiful it is almost impossible to keep your eyes on the road.

Driving is the most convenient way – but keep your eyes on the road. Click here to select a travel route to Lytton from your city or town.

Location

255 Km (160 miles) northeast of Vancouver on the Trans-Canada Highway, 5 km from the little village of Lytton in the northern end of the Fraser Canyon. It’s at Lytton that the Thompson and Fraser Rivers join in a spectacle the local natives called “kumsheen”; hence our name.

Check out an interesting perspective of White Canyon, seen through the lens of Dave Gauthier’s GigaPan camera.

With an impeccable safety record and over 200,000 satisfied visitors, making your way to the Kumsheen Resort could be one of the easiest decisions to make, but leaving could very well be the hardest.
