Normal Spring Runoff

Despite rumours to the contrary, the Thompson spring runoff has been normal this year. The river is high but not exceptionally high. In fact, it has stabilized and already dropped more than 10% from its peak flow last week.

Power rafting is great right now because big water means big rapids. Next weekend (Special June Weekend) we offer the perfect opportunity to experience high water on the Thompson.

Special June Weekend

On June 22 to 24, raft from Ashcroft to Lytton on the Thompson River and get two days of rafting for the price of one! The weekend begins with camping on Friday and includes two full days of rafting on the big whitewater of the Thompson, two nights of camping at the Kumsheen Resort, and five gourmet meals.

On Saturday evening Activities Coordinator Kate will be putting on beach volleyball and disc golf tournaments; Ritchie and the Fendermen will get everyone dancing with their ever-popular rock & roll music.

The entire weekend is available for a special rate of $240. Spaces are filling quickly so call the office soon to make your reservation.

Saturday Night Entertainment

The Fendermen aren't the only musicians we'll have at the Resort this summer. On Saturdays in July and August we will feature entertainment by Headwater, Ryan David and other fantastic performers.

Reserve a weekend getaway and enjoy an evening of great music after a day of rafting in the summer sun.

OMNI TV

From July 13 to 15, a crew from OMNI TV will be filming a broadcast at the Kumsheen Resort. The show will include interviews with Kumsheen's founder Bernie Fandrich and his wife Lorna as well as an on-the-river broadcast.
