Ill Profhetz

Ill Profhetz take time through out their set to share with the croud how God is real in their lives and how He single handedly brought the group together. The show is as lively as they come including stage antics and banter that leaves the audience feeling like they've known the team for years. Rachelle Kostelyk

Rachelle Kostelyk brings something new and exciting to popular music with the release of her second independent EP, Always Ahead. Rachelle's music effortlessly combines aspects of jazz, funk and Gospel into a veritable tapestry of rhythm and soulful melody. Always Ahead, released in the Spring of 2005, is five original songs centered around Rachelle's deep, powerful voice and expert piano playing, backed by a full band of talented musicians. All songs are written, performed and arranged by Rachelle, and produced by Steve Klassen at Sapphire Sound and White Water Sound. Her lyrics are authentic and revealing, with music which takes the listener from the days of the great jazz pianists in The Kind of Secret, a smooth laid back groove, to a hard hitting rock song Only my Hand with funk guitar and a whole lot of attitude. Alone with her piano in a slow, melodic, simple composition entitled Time for Change, Rachelle exhibits superior technique, proving that she really can do it all. Her influences include Eva Cassidy, Aretha Franklin, Fiona Apple, Ani Difranco and Jan Arden, and her inspiration comes from the people she has encountered and the experiences she has shared with them.

Laurell

After being named the "Vancouver Idol" on T.V's popular reality show, Canadian Idol, Laurell took fate into her own hands and released her first full-length album, Into Your Love, a wide-eyed spiritual reflection of her personal faith. 500 CD's were snatched up in its debut weekend alone, and with band-in-tow Laurell crossed the country far and wide to hugely warm reception and further CD selling success. That year, the album's single, "Great 'I AM'" won Song of the Year at the Canadian People's Choice Gospel Music Awards (Shai)...

Laurell’s sound has been brewing her whole life. A first generation Canadian whose parents sailed from Liverpool, she found herself singing along to the Beatles as soon as she could talk. Living in the Northwest exposed Laurell to the elements: snowboarding, surfing, wakeboarding, and dirtbiking shaped her appreciation of acoustic, ska, hip-hop, punk, and pop. Her classical background and jazz-based schooling provided a framework for a unique and beautiful medium to come forth in the form of songwriting.

Today, Laurell's music has found its way to a catchy, mainstream genre. The best of what she loves seems to find a place in her songs, while her voice simply floats and turns, reaches and then releases, as though it is unafraid of being too melodious. She has broken her acoustic performances back down to a guitar, a ukulele, or a piano, and her djembe player. Lyrics and intimacy being of greatest importance, Laurell draws her listeners in to the deepest parts and allows them to find gold there. The reaction is heart stopping, soul lifting, and awe-inspiring until her last note has resonated into the evening sky.

Dan Nel

Singer songwriter Dan Nel was born in Johannesburg South-Africa. He moved to Newmarket Ontario, Canada in 1997. It was towards the end of his high school years that he bought his first guitar. Dan started writing songs as soon as he learned a few chords on his guitar. It was then that the words for his music came from the influences of his upbringing. The lyrics he writes and performs today are based from his life experiences, and the real life issues we deal with daily. Dan Nel moved to Calgary Alberta in 2004 and started writing many of the songs you will hear on his debut album “City Lights”. Aside from singing and writing music, Dan is working towards a degree in ministry at Ambrose University in Calgary so he can become a pastor. Dan loves to travel and invest time into the lives of people he meets along his walk. Music has always been a huge part of his life from the day he could carry a tune.
