“The Kumsheen Rafting Resort is one of the most beautiful places in all of British Columbia…”
– Samantha Iverson
Here’s what Rick Mercer had to say about getting to Kumsheen:
- The 3 hour drive NE from Vancouver to Lytton BC is rife with danger because it’s so gobsmackingly beautiful it is almost impossible to keep your eyes on the road.
Driving is the most convenient way – but keep your eyes on the road. Click here to select a travel route to Lytton from your city or town.
Greyhound bus lines has twice daily schedules to Lytton. If asked, the bus driver will drop you off or pick you up at our resort.
255 Km (160 miles) northeast of Vancouver on the Trans-Canada Highway, 5 km from the little village of Lytton in the northern end of the Fraser Canyon. It’s at Lytton that the Thompson and Fraser Rivers join in a spectacle the local natives called “kumsheen”; hence our name.
Check out an interesting perspective of White Canyon, seen through the lens of Dave Gauthier’s gigapan camera.
